Biblical Tribulation Timeline | How the Bible Says the World Ends

We are living in the Biblical Tribulation.Here's what's coming.

Scripture foretold a season when wars, famine, economic collapse, and the persecution of believers would mark the final chapter of history. What you see on this timeline is one interpretation of where we are in that story — and if it's right, the world as we know it is nearly over.

Believe this timeline or not — every event on this page was written down nearly 2,000 years ago, and none of it has been hidden. It's been sitting in the Bible, waiting. Jesus Christ died around 30 AD. Two thousand years later is right now. Hosea wrote that after two days He would revive us, and on the third day raise us up — and that third day is the millennium you see at the end of this timeline. We are living in the moment Scripture pointed to. Christ brought me home. If you don't know Him yet — I pray He brings you home too, before it's too late to choose.

The further into the tribulation the world goes, the harder it becomes to turn to Christ. The pressure to conform, to survive, to take the mark — it will only grow. Now is the easiest it will ever be to come home.

📐 How dates are calculated: The Bible uses a prophetic year of 360 days (42 months × 30 days = 1,260 days = 3.5 years — consistent across Daniel and Revelation). All dates on this timeline are computed by adding calendar days to January 20, 2025. For example: 1,260 calendar days later = July 3, 2028 (the midpoint). The full 2,520-day tribulation ends on December 15, 2031. Event positions are one common interpretation — exact timing is debated by scholars.

✦God's wrath revealed — The tribulation is the outpouring of God's righteous judgment on a world that has rejected Him, culminating in 21 judgments across seals, trumpets, and bowls.

✦Israel's refining — Called "the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer 30:7), it is designed to bring Israel to national repentance and recognition of Jesus as Messiah (Zech 12:10).

✦Final harvest of souls — Despite unimaginable suffering, a great multitude from every nation comes to faith (Rev 7:9–14), including 144,000 sealed from the tribes of Israel.

✦Rise of the Antichrist — The man of lawlessness rises to global power, makes and breaks a covenant with Israel, and demands worship — a counterfeit Christ (2 Thess 2:3–4).

✦Separation of the nations — The tribulation forces every person to choose: the mark of the beast and temporary survival, or loyalty to God and the promise of eternal life.

✦Christ's return — It ends not with human failure but with divine victory. Jesus returns at Armageddon, defeats the armies of the world, and establishes His kingdom (Rev 19:11–16).

✦Satan bound — Sealed in the Abyss for 1,000 years; his deception over the nations ceases entirely.

✦Christ rules on earth — Jesus reigns from Jerusalem. The government is on His shoulders (Isaiah 9:6).

✦Resurrected saints reign — Those who died for Christ and did not take the mark come to life and co-reign with Him.

✦Peace on earth — Nation will not take up sword against nation (Isaiah 2:4). The wolf lies down with the lamb (Isaiah 11:6).

✦Final rebellion — After 1,000 years Satan is released, deceives the nations one last time, and is thrown into the lake of fire forever (Rev 20:7–10).

✦Great White Throne — The dead are judged. Anyone not in the Book of Life is cast into the lake of fire. Death itself is destroyed (Rev 20:11–15).

✦New heaven and new earth — The old creation, corrupted by sin and marred by judgment, is renewed entirely. God creates all things new (Rev 21:1, 5).

✦The New Jerusalem — A city of pure gold descending from heaven, 1,400 miles in each dimension, filled with God's glory. Its gates are never shut (Rev 21:10–27).

✦God dwells with humanity — No more separation. God's presence fills all of creation. He is the light; there is no need for sun or moon (Rev 21:3, 22–23).

✦No more death or pain — Sorrow, crying, suffering, and death are abolished permanently. The curse of Genesis 3 is fully reversed (Rev 21:4; 22:3).

✦The river of life — A crystal-clear river flows from God's throne through the city. The tree of life lines its banks, bearing fruit every month, its leaves healing the nations (Rev 22:1–2).

✦Face to face with God — His servants will see His face. His name will be on their foreheads. They will reign with Him forever and ever (Rev 22:4–5).

✦Who they are — 144,000 Jewish men from the twelve tribes of Israel (12,000 from each). Sealed by God on their foreheads between the 6th and 7th seals for protection during the Great Tribulation.

✦What they do — They preach the gospel throughout the tribulation. Revelation 7:9 immediately follows their sealing: a great multitude no one could count from every nation comes to faith — the greatest revival in history.

✦Their character — "They follow the Lamb wherever he goes... No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless." (Rev 14:4–5). Called the "firstfruits to God and to the Lamb."

✦Their outcome — In Revelation 14, they stand with the Lamb on Mount Zion — still alive, still pure, still standing. They endure to the end.

✦Common misconception — They are not Jehovah's Witnesses, a metaphor for the Church, or a symbolic number. They are 144,000 literal individuals, identified by tribe, commissioned by God in the darkest hour of human history.
